Introduction to Agricultural Vehicles

As an introduction to agricultural vehicles, this course will help to identify, explain the functions and safety advice for using a range of vehicles, implements and trailers.

A perfect refresher course for experienced farm staff, this course is also ideal for people new to the world of agriculture, including contractors and smallholders.

The course will cover:

• Legislation
• Driving
• Hitching
• Power take off shafts (PTO)
• Workplace management
• Loading and unloading
• Stability and overturning
• ATVs
• Telescopic handlers
• Combine harvesters
• Trailers and implements.

There are two compulsory modules. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass.

Upon successful completion, a Lantra certificate of training will be available to download and print.
