You'll develop knowledge, understanding and skills in the safe use and application of pesticides.

This is a mandatory unit required as a prerequisite to all other pesticides application units.

You will need to also take another unit to be able to apply a pesticides by your chosen method. On its own,  this unit does NOT qualify you to apply pesticides.

This classroom based training will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of the safe use and application of pesticides.

Our course will also assess your knowledge and understanding of:

  • The regulations regarding safe use of pesticides
  • Pesticide product information
  • Hazards and risks associated with pesticides
  • Personal safety when using pesticides
  • The measures to deal with pesticide poisoning
  • Safe working practices
  • The requirements for protected areas
  • Environmental risks and protection of wildlife
  • How to deal with incidents
  • Factors to consider when using pesticides.

We routinely run this course together with PA6a and/or PA6aw over 3 days.

Please let us know if you would like to do this.

The price for PA1 and PA6a is £575 and for PA1, PA6a and PA6aw is £650
