Level 3 Award in Thorough Examination of Arboricultural Lifting Equipment.

Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) all equipment that is used to lift or lower a load must be thoroughly examined by a qualified, competent person every six months.

As a person counts as a load that means that LOLER covers all climbing and accessing equipment used by those working in arboriculture.

This course will cover:

  • Understanding of and compliance with legislation relevant to the examination of arboricultural lifting equipment.
  • Your ability to produce a report of thorough examination.
  • Understanding of equipment inspection and fault diagnosis.
  • Understanding of terminology for the thorough examination of lifting equipment.
  • Understanding of lifting equipment configurations.

You must be 18 years old to attend this training with us.
You will be required to show proof that you have a number of years practical and theoretical knowledge and experience of the arboricultural lifting equipment to be thoroughly examined.

This is a classroom based course but we would like you to bring along any climbing kit you have that would be useful for discussion and inspection.

Please also bring pen and notepad for taking notes.

You will need to bring your own drinks and lunch for the day.
