This course combines the chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting course with the felling of trees up to 380mm to produce a comprehensive and intensive course over 5 days.

This course would not suit you if you are very inexperienced with power tools and machinery, in which case we would recommend the two separate courses.
Chainsaws and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for this training and must be supplied by the trainee. Please see the kit list below. Hire of some items may be possible.
There are no formal pre requisites but you will need good physical and manual dexterity and also be 18 or over to attend this course.
You are required to supply your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and equipment. All items must comply with relevant EN standards, be in good condition, and meet current British safety standards.

This course will provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding to carry out aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free-fall techniques.
